Your Hosts

Megalong Valley Farm Camping dates back to 1986 with current owners Gary and Glenda Lane taking over the property in 1991. Now, there’s camping, glamping, an Airbnb, horse riding, mountain biking, hiking and more, all located in the breathtaking Blue Mountains National Park.

The campsite itself is 170 acres (with 40 dedicated to campsites), but the actual property nears 2,000 acres in total. A huge amount of this remains untouched along the Cox’s River, to act as a wildlife corridor.

Guests are encouraged to play their part in conservation efforts and look out for koalas on the property. After an absence of 100 years, one was discovered last year.

While many guests use their time at Megalong Valley Farm Camping to relax, unwind and enjoy some unscheduled downtime, it’s also perfect if you want a more adrenaline-filled vacay. Go hiking, mountain biking, or even canyoning. And getting up for sunrise at least once is mandatory. Or at least we think it should be.

HINT: Where’s the Marlin hidden?

The Marlin called Red once lived in the sea,
Living the good life and being totally free.
But then along came a big storm and swept him from the sea,
You won’t believe it, but he landed back into a tree!

Now there needs to be a really good plan,
to find Red –The Blue Marlin somewhere on this land.
Because here there are lots of trees, big and tall,
Some are very little and some are very small.

So start at the beginning, choose to go left or right
You won’t get lost or stumble through the night.
After filling your backpacks with things you need,
water, some snacks, a pen, and of course, your phones

Off you go to wind your way down to the front gate which marks the start.
There is a sign with clues to get you going.
Each clue is designed for you to solve a puzzle.
Clue #1:Where I am is not hard to find.

It once was used in another time.
