QUEEN VICTORIA INN, ON THE NEW LINE OF ROAD FROM SYDNEY TO BATHURST.. . Mr. DENNIS KENNY, formerly Colour Sergeant in H. M. 17th Regiment of foot, has the honour to notify to his Friends (whom he hopes and believes are numerous) and. to the Public generally, that ho has taken, on Lease, for a period of five years, from the 1st of July next, on which day the said Inn Will bo opened, those very extensive and well adapted Premises, expressly built for an Inn, the property of Mr. Alexander Fraser, of Penrith, situate on tho Solitary Creek, distant about twenty-eight miles from the Township of Bathurst. The said Inn is remarkably spacious (for a. Country Inn) containing 11 good rooms, with sufficient stabling attached, and with every convenience for the Traveller, for Families, and for Invalids, (all the rooms being well separated.) For its situation, Mr. Kenny need make no other reference than to the " Itinerary" contained in tho published N. S. Wales Directory, &c., o the Post Master General of the Colony, for the year 1835, at page 108, of which the " Solitary Creek" is described " as the purling stream, in a grassy vale." It is almost unnecessary further to describe its site, or the numerous beauties of nature in its vicinity to the Australian Traveller But to the Foreign Visitant, and especially to the Indian Invalid, it may be necessary to state/that the cite combines the most beautiful mountain scenery with the purest mountain air-the renovating and vivifying effects of which are almost instantaneous. In addition to the Inn, Mr. Kenny rents of tho proprietor two sections of Land, situate as above, near that " purling stream" in that " grassy vale," where of course, all Horses, Cattle and Sheep can be received on thirds. |e Sydney, 3d May, 1838.
