At night you can dine at Blackheath restaurants. There are a number of award winning restaurants nearby at Blackheath  just 12 minutes from the Valley or at our sister venue Ambermere Rose Inn which is a heritage Cobb & Co Inn.

For lunch groups we have the licensed Outback Steakhouse, built like an authentic outback "Pub" with its huge bush bar or the Farmhouse Bistro.

Or sit around the campfire and have an Aussie Bush BBQ lunch- a platter of  tender steak, lamb, chicken,  potatoes, garden fresh salad,  crusty bread - please book ahead

And when it comes to sleeping....

Accommodation at Megalong Ranch Guesthouse is simple and relaxing and designed

to let visitors experience our wonderful country lifestyle.

  Guest Rooms are large family sized rooms with a double bed

and bunk beds, ensuited with shower and toilet,

(similar in layout to a standard motel room).

 All rooms are cosy in winter with warm heaters.

What to Expect at our Wilderness Venue

A venue set a side from the others with plenty of space and the ability to take in the wilderness of the Blue Mountains   Put away your phone and computers, take a deep breath and take time to enjoy. Its like a trip to Africa without the animals!

Why are we different?   

We are in a wilderness area in the heart of the Blue Mountains National Park.  Our venue is unique and allows you to enjoy the natural environment , and there is a lot to wander over and take in the freshness of the clean air.   Get your camera in focus and look for the opportunities that abound.  The horses, the wildlife, the flora and fauna.

Room Service. 

We are strictly a Bed and Breakfast Venue.  There are plenty of eating options at Blackheath or we can organise a catering pack for you to eat in house.

What don't we have. 

Sorry - no spas, no massages, no TV,  no room service, no baby sitting, no inhouse phones, we feel like a million miles from nowhere.. just a great stay from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Please note:
This is a B&B lodge and not a hotel. Due to the nature of the place and location, things do not always go to plan. You need to come here leaving your usual lifestyle in a predictable environment behind you!   The environment can be unpredictable and when staying in the wilderness, don’t forget warm clothing in cooler weather .  The temperature can easily drop in winter. We have frosts but not snow! 

Insect repellent is always advisable, as is sunscreen  when outside.
