The RPCA is a charity organisation which states the following:
What your donation can do for animals
$20 feeds and cares for a dog for one day
$15 provides shelter for an animal for one day
$160 to $280 desexes an animal
$300 keeps an RSPCA inspector on the road
$2000 repairs a dog’s broken leg
$40,00 pays the legal costs for one day to prosecute a cruelty offender
$20,000 would provide monitoring equipment for all four RSPCA veterinary clinics
It does not state that the donations will go towards harassment of legitimate business owners -
5 visits in less than 12 months, entry onto a tourism property and taking of blood samples, then hitting the owner with the costs of the whole exercise.
They are wasting your donations that you thought would go to provide care and attention to an animal.!
13 counts of cruelty for having worms despite :
a) normal worming produces having been implemented,
b) with all receipts and proof that it had been undertaken for the past 4 years, with quality products.
and horses "thought to be lame", despite advice that
a) there was a ban on equine flu with prohibited transport,
b) one had a thrown shoe,
c) one had bowed tendon
d) one had navicular
d) one was not lame, never was
e) one "appeared lame"
f) one was mistaken
You donation dollars will go on frivolous and vexatious actions prompted by the prospect of sensational TV footage.
Time, money, services, all spent on a owner who has not committed anything other than trying to prevent a couple of horses going to a knackery.
As a charitable fundraising organisation supported by donations from both the government and the public there needs to be a greater scrutiny of their activities.
A question needs to be asked - why the is the RSPCA doing with the public and private donations?

NSW Government grants from 2006 rose from $217.000 for inspectorial services up by $212,000 making a total of government grants of $424,000 being applied for inspectorial services. So how is this money being spent - by pursuit of an owner. It should be used to provide assistance to animals , not providing footage for TV shows!
